Good Monday Morning!
First I want to apologize for not posting sooner...my weekend got away from me. Also I have signed up to have some advertising on this blog, but they pop up in weird places, so there will be some changes over the next few weeks.
All that said let's get to it...Knowing what to pack in your To Go Pack.
In the classes I teach, one of the sheets that is included in their packet is a 72 Hour Kit Supply List.
The list is broken down in to 13 different groups:
Dental Care Container (Plastic container with lid)
Personal Hygiene Container (Plastic container with lid)
In a Gallon sized Bag
Must Have For Kits
Lighting and Radios
Fire Starter and Cutting Tools
Cooking Equipment
Documentation Kit
Food
Clothing
Shoes
First Aid Kit
Other
Under all of these I have a break down of what MAY be needed in your kit. My husband and I have compared our kit set up with Red Cross and other groups that put kits together, and we have everything they have plus a few other things. As I tell my classes, "these are what we carry, your pack needs to be your own." We are giving you suggestions of things to have.
If you hunt, camp, hike, or go on fishing trips you may already have a kit built that you can use. Go through the list above and make your own break down of what you would add to your kit. Tomorrow I will post what I suggest to my classes and we will see where you come out. One last thing...Find a place in the house or garage that you can have your kits/packs ready to go. This way if they are needed you can grab and go, that is why many people call them Grab and Go Bags!
Hope you all have sun where you are... I am off to work in the veggie garden!
Until Next Time....
