Good Afternoon Everyone,
Sorry I have not been on the last few weeks, finishing up with school stuff, preparing for the Emergency Preparation Fair (that went well), and doing some research. I have not forgotten about you all, trying to get things in place to get you guys busy preparing over the summer. Plus I have been getting things in order to restart my Thrive Business.
One of the things I have been researching are You Tubes showing you how to make things that can help in an emergency, or other ways to prepare. I was surprised how many videos are out there. There are lots of similar videos but same have a twist to the same project. A You Tube gadget will be added over the next few weeks. Some of the things I will share should be fun for you to do with the kids, since school is out for the summer.
One of the of the channels my husband found is .
If you copy and paste or type this name into your search bar, you will go straight to his You Tube. There are some really good ideas here. I would really like to know what you think.
Fourth of July is coming right around the corner. I will have some things for you to think about for the weekend and reminders too, in the next few days.
Please note that I have a new email that you can comment on, send me questions, or even give me ideas.
You will also be seeing Thrive sales, and new posts for this blog.
Thanks to everyone that comes back to check in. I really appreciate all of you!
Until Next Time...
This blog is to help people realize the importance of a To Go Pack or 72 Hour Kit. How to put a pack together without a lot of expense. Where to get things at the best prices. Emergencies are not always natural disasters...they can be a lost job, cut hours, or even a sick family member, etc. Remember: "You Can Never Be Too Prepared!"

Book List Added
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying some good weather now that we are getting so close to summer!
How are you guys liking the pages that have been added? Have they been helpful? I would love to hear what you are getting out of them. It helps me to know what to add and not to add.
So today's newest page is a list of books that can be very helpful to get start, keep going, and to open new avenues for thought as you are putting things together. The first Three book are good reads, they will open your eyes to possible things that could happen in our life time. Funniest part is you may see a correlation or two to what is happening in our country/world today. The first book was written 13 years ago...there are parts of the book that are starting to transpire. Hmmmm!!
I would love to hear your thoughts about the Printable Pages, and the blog in general. I know I have not gotten into a hole lot of stuff yet but it is coming....

Training
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I have got several pots in the fire right now. There is a Preparation Fair go on in Cle Elum, WA on
June 21, 2014 from 10 am - 3 pm. There will be 20 plus booths, entertainment, mini classes, and food, there is something for everyone. For more information you can go to www.providenthomecompanion.com/preparedness-fair/
Hoping to get some training for Medical Emergencies in our area (should be fun since I don't like blood).
I am trying to get as much training under my belt as possible, that way whatever comes our way, I can help in any capacity needed. I strongly suggest that at least one person (all if possible) in your family or group that you camp, hike, fish, hunt, or whatever outdoor (or indoor) activities you do with, should be CPR & First Aid Certified.
If you want more training....that will not just help your family but your community, check with your local Fire Department and look into their CERT programs and Neighborhood Preparedness programs. There are many ways we can all help our communities, all you have to do is ask your churches if they are apart of your communities Emergency Plan, you can call your local Emergency Management Person, etc. Some communities do drills. I have not been apart of one but I hear it can be very emotional and eye opening.
Summer is a good time to look into these programs, some are free, some have fees, but in the end you will walk away with great knowledge, and supplies to get you started.
One last thing for today,
With summer almost here, the kids being out of school, people will be traveling/vacationing, etc. Please review my posting from January 10, 2012. That post talks about thing you should have in your car during a winter and winter traveling, but summer is not that different. You will want more water with you, you will still need cloths for ALL weather (it can still get cold at night depending on where you are) and there are lots more ideas. Please, Please, Please if you are traveling out of state, into the mountains, or anywhere you may not have cell service TELL SOMEONE OR TWO WHERE YOU ARE GOING and what your route will be. What am I shouting...because if someone gets lost, it will be easier to send help if someone else knows where you were going and how you were getting there!
I will have more tips and ideas in the coming weeks.
