Food Storage

Good Evening Everyone,

I know it has been awhile since I posted on my blog.  It has been a crazy year....
I can't guarantee I will have a bunch of new posts but as things come up I will get them out to you.

One of the things that has prompted me to post today is Food and Water! Have you seen on the news or other media outlets that people are being arrested for collecting "Free" rain water? What about those of you that have a well? Have you been required to get a meter on your well yet?  We live in a small town and they are trying to meter wells here, and in other places around the country. What is the deal with being arrested for collecting rain water...the last time I checked we didn't pay to make it rain, so why does the state get to tell us we can't collect rain water to store?  Anyone else see this as a problem? If you want to know more please research Agenda 21.

Lately my husband and I have been listening to some commentaries that food in different parts of the country is starting to shrink.  What does this mean?  Well from the reports we have seen stores are not getting the full food shipments they should be.  Here is a test...next time you go to your local stores (big chains especially) take notice of the isles. Are the isles constantly being rearranged? Are the items you normally buy becoming fewer and fewer on the shelf? Now look at the shelves themselves, does it look like the shelves are full? If the answer is yes look behind the first item in any row. How many items are actually behind the front row of items? If you see empty spaces behind the first row, you may have a store that is not getting their full shipments of products.  What about our fruits and vegetables? Do the prices match the quality? Have you looked at the labels to see where your food is coming from? We are getting more and more food items from outside the country. Do we really know how they process the food that they are canning and shipping here?  I could tell some horrific things about some of our food but I will let you reach that on your own.

People ask me all the time who is the best company to get water filters, food storage and other emergency supplies.  I have added links to several good companies but the best for food storage and a few supplies is Thrive Life. (I have an older post that gives you great places to get supplies from.)  I am not going to say a lot about them because I am a consultant.  Thrive Life has food that you can get in many sized quantities. Pouches (great for Bug Out Bags or day hikes, etc.), Pantry Cans (great for small families or items you don't use as much), #10 cans (this the main size for many companies), and there are 5 gallon buckets for some products. Thrive Life also has no MSG or GMO in their Foods. Their food is either freeze dried or dehydrated. You can eat it straight out of the package, or make quick and easy meals with it while, saving money on your grocery bill.  It makes storing healthy food for your family easier. We have made our food storage 85% of our monthly grocery budget.  If you would like more information on Thrive Life products or what the company is about please visit my store at emergencyfocus.thrivelife.com.

Why am I pushing this so hard...well if you do the store test and you see that the shelves and the amount of items ARE dwindling, your family may come to mind, then you may ask...what do we need to do from here?

I have added many links to other companies so you can do research for yourself. All I can do is encourage you and your family to talk about the importance of stocking up on food and water how ever you feel is right for your family.  If you watch the news or keep up with other media outlets...we really don't know how long it will be until all Hell breaks loose. But if your family is ready for it then there is no reason to stress.  I have shared with you in other posts and in the printable pages...don't share with others that you have on hand unless they are like minded people that you really trust. When things go south sometimes people you have known all of your life or that you have been friends with for years may change. When a persons family is going without all bets are off when it come to making sure your family has food.  I am not trying to cause panic or an up roar...I am just trying to keep it real.
